In spite of the cold weather, work has been continuing on the new station at Dawson.
The foundations, base and platform are now complete and work will commence on the station building once the necessary materials have arrived.

8th December 2025

Work has started on the new Station at Dawson. The original platform and shelter have been removed and the team has started by clearing the site and laying the foundations.
The new station will have facilities to purchase tickets, send/receive parcels and will include an enclosed waiting area.
It is hoped that the new station will be ready to welcome passengers in early Spring 2026. We will update the website as construction progresses.

1st December 2025

Staff today happily welcomed the Railbus back to the line, following repairs and a full overhaul. It will re-enter service immediately, covering the Winter Timetable.

The Railway has entered the 20th Century and launched its own website, its a work in progress with updates to follow.
